Free ConBuilder Pro

Well, not exactly Free, You'll have to earn it.
Is English Your second language? Can You use an HTML editor? Are You fluent enough with English to translate the help file for ConBuilder?

If You can answer Yes to all of these, and get the translation done, then I will give You a copy of the latest version. I need somebody who can do the following languages.

Danish, Dutch, French and others. There are also 3 other files that will need to be translated as well. However, the translation must be done first before You get Your copy of ConBuilder. PM or E-mail me if So. :D

Any chance of a little snippet of what we could in theory be translating and an idea of length?
May be able to help, but depends to what sort of level its written at.

Pretty much is just a matter of replacing the US English and making it in the proper language and verbage, so it reads the same in the alternate language without disturbing the formatting characters in the html files. I don't need German, already have somebody for that one. There is 1 file for each page in the help file. I will do all of the compiling needed, I just need it translated and sent back to me. 67 html files, all graphics are provided too.

Did I answer what You wanted to know?

Richard

Here's an extract from one of the English help pages - hope this gives you some ideas of the level.

'Random consists

Random Consists can be built by selecting the RC button.

You can create a consist of 150 engines and wagons.

NOTE: If you want a single unit type use Insert Mulltiple, this will Give you a Random Consist even if you choose 1 unit type.

Basic usage: Select Type of units to be in consist, Select Coupler type to be used, Select units to be in consist, Enter number of units to be in consist, Click on Get Wagons button.
Note: If you have a picture in the folder it will be displayed when you select an item.

Warning: You need to select a minimum of 3 units as it says at the bottom of the box in red.

The consists are truly Random as it says, You can select 6 different units, re-generate a consist and it will not be the same.

If you want to add a lot of different iteims to an already built consist I suggest using "Insert Mulitiple" instead of Random.'
Alan

My railway photos are back - you can access them from https://plus.google.com/photos/10506703 ... banner=pwa . Lots of steam and early diesels from the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Thanks Alan, wasn't sure what he was asking me for. To me it is just a matter of swapping words.

This is what a free on-line translation service made of Alan's extract!

Aléatoire consiste
Aléatoire consiste peut être construit en choisissant le bouton de RC. Vous pouvez créer un composer 150 moteurs et chariots. NOTE : Si vous voulez un type insertion Mulltiple d'unité simple d'utilisation, ceci vous donnera qu'un aléatoire consiste même si vous choisissez 1 type d'unité. Utilisation de base : Le type choisi d'unités à être dedans consistent, type choisi de coupleur à employer, choisissent des unités pour être dedans consistent, introduisent le nombre d'unités pour être dedans consistent, cliquent sur réussissent le bouton de chariots. Note : Si vous avez une image dans le dossier il sera montré quand vous choisissez un article. Avertissement : Vous devez choisir 3 unités au minimum pendant qu'il indique au fond de la boîte en rouge. Consiste êtes vraiment aléatoire pendant qu'il indique, vous pouvez choisir 6 unités différentes, régénérez un consister et ce ne sera pas pareil. Si vous voulez ajouter beaucoup de différents iteims à l'déjà établis consistent je suggèrent utilisant le " ; Insérez Mulitiple" ; au lieu de Random.' ;

Fluent French speakers will no doubt find it hilarious!

That is exactly why I am looking for a person to do the translation and not one of those on-line translators. I want it to be correctly worded.

I wish I could help. I can make a reasonable job of turning an automatic French to English translation into a proper English form, but not the other way; that requires a fluent French speaker.

Sorry, but thinking about it a bit more, there's too much specialist words in there for me to help with
